Agatha Christie

Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE (née Miller; 15 September 1890 – 12 January 1976) was an English crime novelist, short story writer and playwright. She also wrote six romances under the name Mary Westmacott, but she is best known for the 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections that she wrote under her own name, most of which revolve around the investigative work of such characters as Hercule Poirot, Jane Marple, Parker Pyne, Harley Quin/Mr Satterthwaite and Tommy and Tuppence Beresford. She wrote the world's longest-running play, a murder mystery, The Mousetrap. In 1971 she was made a Dame for her contribution to literature.

Christie was born into a wealthy upper-middle-class family in Torquay, Devon. She served in a hospital during the First World War before marrying and starting a family in London. She was initially unsuccessful at getting her work published, but in 1920 The Bodley Head press published her novel The Mysterious Affair at Styles, featuring the character of Hercule Poirot. This launched her literary career.

The Agatha Christie series is a series of adventure games developed by AWE Games and published by The Adventure Company, based on the works of the English mystery writer Agatha Christie.

Developed primarily for the PC, three games in the series have been released to date: Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None, released in October 2005 for the PC, with a Wii version of the game released on 8 January, and Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express, released in November 2006 for the PC. The third game in the series, Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun, was released in 2007. The fourth and most recent iteration in the series, Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders for Nintendo DS, based on The ABC Murders, was released in 2009.

Agatha Christie (band)

Agatha Christie (Russian: Агата Кристи) was a Soviet and Russian rock band, one of the most popular in the country in the middle and in the second half of the 1990s. Founded in 1985 in Sverdlovsk.

Officially, however, the history of the group is counted from the concert February 20, 1988.

After the collapse of Agatha Christie in 2010, the former lead singer Gleb Samoylov, together with keyboardist Konstantin Bekrev and drummer Dmitry Khakimov created the group The Matrixx.
